Moringa—First Taste

Okay, let me go ahead and get this out there: I ate a tree today in order to feel better. More accurately, I drank a tree. Why you ask? I ran across a video on youtube and a guy said this tree made a huge difference in reducing his arthritis pain. He seemed sincere and he wasn’t trying to sell anything so I thought I would give it a try.

How Did it Taste

My wife’s assessment was it tastes really green. Since it is so hard to describe, this is the best description I can come up with. It looks and smells really green too! It smells just like a green leaf on a tree . Considering that is what it is, I guess it is a good thing.

I bought organic powdered Moringa and I drank it with hot water. I didn’t use sugar or anything else (this is how I drink my tea). It was not as good as my favorite tea but it wasn’t that bad. One teaspoon goes a long way and I quickly realized I should have use a bigger cup. I made my first drink in a 10 oz cup and I ended up filling it with hot water again to make another cup from the residue that settled in the bottom.

What Do I have to Lose?

What if it doesn’t work for me like it did for the youtuber? Well, I guess I will just have a little more vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and essential amino acids. This superfood also provides potassium, calcium, iron, vitamins A, C, and more. So if it doesn’t help the pain, I figure I am still ahead of the game. If it does help with the pain. Huge win!!!

I plan on drinking it everyday so I will make another post in a week or two and let you know if it is helping with the pain. Given the nature of my flare ups, the real test will be sustained pain and inflammation reduction.

Happy tree drinking and God Bless… Danny
